“Dame Time: Ogden” Launched TODAY!
Announcement time! As mentioned elsewhere on this blog, I wrote the story bible, plot outline, and character dialogue for the video game Dame Time: Ogden, a puzzle-filled sci-fi adventure game starring NBA icon Damian Lillard. Well, that game went live TODAY, as part of The Sandbox Alpha Season 3! And you can play Dame Time: Ogden by clicking HERE.
Here’s a brief description of the game, from the home page of the official Dame Time: Ogden website:
“Play as basketball superstar Damian Lillard as his adventures unfold in the metaverse. In Dame Time: Ogden, the adventure revolves around Damian’s time at his alma mater, and chronicles his run ins with the enigmatic Whisperer, who is intent on troubling Damian as much as possible! With the help of the Clockmaker and your demon friend, Anzu, you must solve puzzles, complete challenging parkour, and fight a slew of enemies as you learn about the mysterious L12 organization, and get to the bottom of The Whisperer’s plots!”
I spent several months working on Dame Time: Ogden with the development team at MetaVenture Studios, the gaming division of Grow Your Base. I’m really proud of the game we made. And I can’t wait for you to meet Damian Lillard (the video game version), as well as The Clockmaker, Anzu, The Whisperer, and all of the other characters in this game. But this game isn’t just rich in characters, it’s rich in concepts and lore. Want to learn what the omnipresent L12 corporation is up to? Only one way to find out: play the game!

“Dame Time: Ogden” Launches on Monday Sept 19th
As I mentioned in a previous blog post, I wrote the story bible, plot outline, and character dialogue for the video game Dame Time: Ogden.
Well, now that game has an official release date! It launches on Monday September 19th, 2022, as part of The Sandbox Alpha Season 3.

But that’s not all! Dame Time: Ogden also has its own website, which just went live.
And here’s the official description of the game, from the website’s home page:

Dame Time: Ogden was developed by MetaVenture Studios, the gaming division of Grow Your Base. It’s a puzzle-filled adventure game, and it’s exclusive to the Sandbox Metaverse. I had a fantastic time working on this project, and I can’t wait for it to launch!

“Dame Time: Ogden is an escape room and obstacle course adventure game, which also includes elements of fighting, platforming, parkour, and action. It is a narrative-driven game that mixes genres and also includes several ‘Easter Egg’ collectibles to find.
The player experiences the game through the eyes of US basketball star Damian Lillard, aka ‘Dame,’ while he is attending Weber State University in Ogden, Utah on a basketball scholarship.
After his harrowing exploits in Oakland, Damian arrives at college and is rejoined by some familiar faces – like the Clockmaker and Anzu, the cute demon helper.
Damian is attending Weber State University in Ogden, Utah on a basketball scholarship. This scholarship is one of the last sports programs available in this alternative universe dubbed ‘The Unfinished World’ – a world dominated by half-finished buildings covered in scaffolding – the product of an advanced but collapsed economy. Damian once again runs into the enigmatic Whisperer, who seems determined to cause as much trouble for Damian as possible, as he discovers just how much influence and power the Whisperer wields.
While exploring hidden passageways and mysterious secrets below the campus, Damian uncovers another abandoned lab yielding more information about Dominic Hatch, the mysterious ‘L12 organization,’ and evidence of strange happenings on the moon.
Can Damian get to the bottom of the Whisperer’s plots and uncover the truth about L12? Are they connected? Where on Earth will this rabbit hole lead him next?”
