Twist

Throughout 2017, I wrote a batch of scripts for Jam City’s interactive fiction game Twist. The choose-your-own-adventure-style game was soft-launched on Android in September 2017, but as of this writing it hasn’t been fully launched. In the game, players read through interactive stories and make choices at various points to change the course of each story.

Beyond the soft launch, I don’t know what Twist’s current status is, but I’m very proud to have worked on it. I had a fantastic time working with the team at Jam City and developing stories for the game.

Here’s an article from the PocketGamer.biz site about Twist.

And here’s some promotional art for Twist. On the right (under the heading “Romance, Thrillers, And More!”), you’ll see the game’s main menu screen, featuring several of the stories you can choose from. In the middle tier of the screen, the story on the far right is called “Mystery Writer.” That’s one of the stories I wrote.  And the logo for “Mystery Writer” is a book. As you can see, in the logo, the pages of the book are curling up and forming a heart. This is quite fitting, since “Mystery Writer” is a romantic comedy about a romance novelist.
