The Fantastic Four LGB Comes Out in July!
Last year, I wrote a children’s book called The Fantastic Four Little Golden Book, which was illustrated by Eda Kaban. It comes out on July 1, 2025 from Penguin Random House.
Just so you don’t get the wrong idea, I should also point out that – although The Fantastic Four LGB comes out just a few short weeks before the Fantastic Four: First Steps movie – it’s not an adaptation of that film. So if this book isn’t based on the movie, what is it? Well, I don’t want to say too much about it at this early date. But I can say that it’s a loving tribute to the 1960s-era Stan Lee and Jack Kirby Fantastic Four comics.
(And honestly, just from watching the FF: First Steps trailer, it certainly looks like that movie is also a tribute to the 1960s-era FF comics. So I guess the movie and this book both have that in common.)
Here’s the official publisher description of the book:
Marvel’s iconic first family of super heroes, the Fantastic Four, arrive to save the day in their first ever Little Golden Book!
When a team of four daring space explorers get bombarded by mysterious cosmic rays, they return to Earth changed forever. Given incredible powers, Mister Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, the Human Torch, and the ever-lovin’ blue-eyed Thing band together to keep the world safe from super villains and alien invaders. These action-packed full-color pages will introduce these heroes’ amazing powers and their friends and foes! Kids 2 to 5—along with Marvel fans and collectors—will love this Little Golden Book based on The Fantastic Four.
And hey, did you notice that part in the publisher description where it said that this is the first-ever Fantastic Four Little Golden Book? Which is pretty cool! I’m very proud of this book, I had a fantastic * time writing it, and I can’t wait for everyone to read it!
Speaking of which, it’s available for preorder HERE, HERE, and HERE.

“96 Facts About Beyoncé” Comes Out in June!

Very early in my career, I was a writer for Teen Beat. (Not a joke! If you don’t believe me, Google it.) One of the Teen Beat articles I wrote was a cover story on Destiny’s Child. That’s how long ago I did that: Destiny’s Child was still a pop group. Of course, the most famous member of that group was Beyoncé. Why am I bringing that up? Okay, you know the “96 Facts” series? Those middle-grade nonfiction books I write that always seem to come out on a Tuesday? Well…
The next “96 Facts” book will come out from Penguin Random House on Tuesday June 10th, 2025. That book is called 96 Facts About Beyoncé. Like all of the previous “96 Facts” books, this one was written by yours truly and illustrated by the amazing Risa Rodil.
Here’s the official publisher description of 96 Facts About Beyoncé:
The ultimate fact book and journal for fans of Beyoncé. Packed with fun facts, quick quizzes, and bonus pages for journaling, this is a must-have for any members of the BeyHive.
The book is available for preorder HERE, HERE, and HERE.

“96 Facts About the G.O.A.T. Athletes” Is Out NOW!
The ninth book in the “96 Facts” series – 96 Facts About the G.O.A.T. Athletes – came out TODAY. And as with all of the previous “96 Facts” books, 96 Facts About the G.O.A.T. Athletes was written be me and illustrated by the amazing Risa Rodil.
As I mentioned in my previous blog post, this middle-grade nonfiction book is positively packed with fun facts about the greatest athletes who’ve ever existed. (Well, SOME of them, anyway.) For instance, there are sections in the book about LeBron James, Diana Taurasi, Babe Ruth, Shohei Ohtani, Jim Brown, Travis Kelce, Cristiano Ronaldo, Megan Rapinoe, Arthur Ashe, Serena Williams, and many, many more.
Here’s the official publisher description of 96 Facts About the G.O.A.T. Athletes:
The ultimate fact book and journal for sports fans, featuring the greatest of all time (GOAT) athletes from basketball, baseball, football, soccer, and tennis!
Packed with fun facts and quick quizzes about some of the greatest athletes of all time, as well as bonus pages for journaling, this is a must-have for any sports fan.
The book is available in bookstores everywhere, as well as HERE, HERE, and HERE.
